This is a step by step guide (from curriculum)
Click on a shape in 'Basic' panel. Left click on canvas to place the shape to current work plane. Can place to a different plane by changing work plane position first.
Click 'workplane' button on 'Work plane' panel. There are two ways to modify current work plane. (1) directly modify plane parameters from property windows on top-right corner. (2) If there are shapes in canvas, move mouse to a face of a shape, left click to move the work plane there.
In canvas, select the shape by left clicking. To move the shape along current work plane, keep left mouse button pressed and drag the shape. To move the shape along vertial direction of current work plane, drag the arrow handle on the shape.
In canvas, select the shape by left clicking. There will be three rotate handles for the shape. Drag a rotate handle to rotate the shape aroung an axis.
In canvas, select the shape by left clicking. There will be four scale sphere handles for the shape. Drag a scale handle to scale the shape along one direction.
Place two basic shapes to canvas. Click 'cut' tool which is the first button on 'Boolean' panel. Select the shape to be cut. Select another shape that will be used as cutting tool. The first shape will be cut by the second shape.
Place two basic shapes to canvas. Click 'combine' tool which is the second button on 'Boolean' panel. Select two shapes to be combined. A combined shape will be generated from two shapes.
When no command is running, left click on canvas, keep left button pressed, drag to another position to draw a rectangle. Shapes within the range will be selected. Move selected shapes by dragging the shapes or using move/rotate handles. Selected object will be moved or rotated together.
Using the first six commands in 'Advanced' panel to draw sketch entities on active work plane. Advanced 3D shapes can be created from closed a sketch loop later.
'Trim' tool can be used to cut intersected sketch entities. Click the tool. Hover to the segment to be cut. When the segment is highlighted, left click. The highlighted curve segment will be removed.
Create a closed sketh loop on active work plane. Click 'extrude' button on 'Advanced' panel. Select the closed loop. An extrusion shape will be created.
Create a closed sketch loop and a straight line on active work plane. Click 'revolve' button on 'Advanced' panel. Select the loop. Then select the line. A revolve shape will be created by revolving closed loop along the line.
Create a closed sketch loop on active plane. Change workplane position to make it perpendicular to its previous position. Draw a spline that will be used as sweeping path. Click 'sweep' button on 'Advanced' panel. Select the sketch loop. Then select the spline. A sweep shape will be created by sweeping 2d sketch along the path.
